Entrance

The entrance has a gate (175 cm wide) followed by 3 consecutive steps (h 15 cm) which can be overcome with a stairlift that can be freely used by visitors.

Three double-leaf doors (87 cm wide each) placed side by side lead into the building.


Reception

In the hall there are:

  • the infopoint (counter height: 106 cm)
  • the ticket office (counter height: 106 cm)

The museum staff is at your disposal for information and tourist reception services.


Orientation signage

In the building there are:

  • directional arrows with large and high-contrast lettering (at least 7 cm)
  • high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.

Lift

There is a lift, connecting the ground floor to the first floor, with the following characteristics:

  • door width: 102 cm (cabin: inner space 102x142 cm),
  • lift push button panel with embossed Braille printing at a maximum height of 125 cm,
  • emergency bell at a maximum height of 130 cm,
  • the button of the chosen floor must be kept pressed for the entire duration of the journey.

Exhibition rooms

The museum hosts exhibitions, events and conferences. To reach the rooms on the ground floor and the lift leading to the first floor, it is necessary to overcome 4 consecutive steps (h 14 cm) or alternatively use a stairlift.


Toilet facilities

The accessible toilet for people with disabilities is located on the ground floor, in front of the ticket office, and has the following characteristics:

  • sliding door: 88 cm wide
  • wall-mounted washbasin (clear floor area: in front: 235 cm)
  • wall-mounted toilet (clear floor area: in front: 170 cm; to the right side: 35 cm; to the left side 170 cm; without handles).

Emergency exits

Emergency routes are well indicated. The building has an acoustic and visual alarm device.
