Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci

The Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology is one of the most evocative historical sites in the heart of Milan that allows a journey between past, present and future. Founded in 1953, it is now one of the largest technical-scientific museums in Europe. Nestled in the cloisters of a 16th-century Olivetan monastery, it covers about 50,000 square meters. Its identity lends cultural, historical and scientific value to every event, and its atmospheric spaces offer a variety of possibilities for organizing conferences and congresses, photo and TV shoots, trade fair events, presentations, aperitifs and dinners. The two recently renovated cloisters preserve the ancient beauty of the 16th-century monastery. Overlooking two large gardens and dominated by the bell tower of the church of San Vittore, they are a peaceful place to organize convivial moments in a secret corner of Renaissance Milan. Sala delle Colonne, the former library of the monastery, is a charming space overlooking the two cloisters. Its linear architecture, punctuated by the succession of arches and columns, makes it particularly suitable for hosting exclusive arrangements and events. Sala del Cenacolo, the former refectory of the monastery, is entirely decorated with stucco and frescoes by Pietro Gilardi and evokes the Baroque splendor of the 18th century. The artistic impact of colors and details creates the ideal atmosphere for prestigious events. The Cavallerizze, located alongside the Enrico Toti Submarine, are now the result of a major architectural renovation and urban redevelopment. Established in the 1800s when the monastery was converted into barracks, they feature extensive volumes, exposed brick and large windows covering about 1,600 square meters. These features make them ideal for holding large events, temporary exhibitions and conferences. The Auditorium, a renovated multifunctional space, preserves the elegance of the original 1950s structure while enhancing it with the introduction of technical equipment and innovative furniture ideal for organizing conferences, seminars and cultural initiatives. Adjacent to its entrance, the Regina Margherita space is ideal for hosting coffee breaks and cocktails. The Museum offers evocative paths between history and contemporaneity, art and science such as guided tours of exhibitions and temporary exhibits, activities in interactive laboratories, virtual adventures and artistic performances that can enrich events and make them a unique experience. Don't miss the Galleries, the world's largest permanent exhibition dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci. A scenographic route among 170 historical models, works of art, ancient volumes and installations to tell the story of the figure and work of Leonardo the engineer, humanist and investigator of nature. But also the Space area with the only fragment of the Moon exhibited in Italy and the outdoor spaces where you can get excited in front of the Enrico Toti submarine and the Vega space launcher. Opposite, there is the Aeronavale pavilion that preserves some of the Museum's most fascinating objects such as the AC72 catamaran Luna Rossa, the brig schooner Ebe, and the command deck of the transatlantic liner Conte Biancamano with its original circular-shaped ballroom that evokes 1930s atmospheres and lends itself to hosting gala dinners and press conferences. Together with the polene space, it offers a striking and scenic setting for all types of events. In the immediate vicinity is the Railway Pavilion, built like a typical Italian Art Nouveau station, which displays real locomotives along four platforms and allows visitors to retrace the evolution of rail transportation, creating a unique atmosphere even for an original photo shoot.
