A Swiftie's Guide to Milano
Grab your passport... and discover Milano through 6 Taylor Swift’s songs

July 13 and 14 are fast approaching and we can’t wait to let the game begin at the San Siro stadium. For those of you visiting Milano to attend Taylor Swift's | Eras Tour concerts, we know places and we’re excited to share some suggestions to help you explore 6 top-recommended spots in the city through 6 Taylor Swift’s songs. We know you know the number 6 is not coincidental…
Starting our journey with Ivy might suggest which song is the author’s favorite. We know Taylor loves Donatella Versace and the designer famously created the iconic Lover bodysuit. But while we all heard about the girl who lives in delusion, hoping Ivy makes it as a surprise song in San Siro might not be such a long shot: one of the most pleasing buildings in Milano, Donatella’s house in Viale Majno is completely covered in... IVY! Is this too much masterminding?
Meet the pink flamingo colony living in the private garden of Villa Invernizzi, a hidden gem in one of the city’s fanciest neighbourhoods, Porta Venezia (as said, we know places: you’ll love peeking into the hallways of its incredible art-nouveau palaces).
Visit this tranquil oasis in the late afternoon and enjoy re-entering the hustle and bustle of the city under a beautiful sunset in Corso Venezia. Nearby, you can visit the gorgeous and quite TLGAD-coded Villa Necchi Campiglio (and right in front, take a look at Villa Mozart, another house covered in ivy).
Milano is a global fashion capital and its residents have always taken this role pretty seriously (the so-called “Sciure” are an institution). Even if you are traveling light, you can’t miss out on strolling around the Quadrilatero della Moda for some window-shopping around exquisite luxury boutiques while enjoying a gelato. Trade all your friendship bracelets and make room in your luggage for a new dress: it might then be taken off but surely it will never go out of style.
And they don’t go out of style the vintage clothes you can find in the second-hand boutiques in the Navigli district, or hand-designed bijoux and jewels in the 5Vie ateliers: walk around in Via Gian Giacomo Mora and Via Santa Marta, to find the ultimate accessories that complete your concert outfit.
No, seriously, we had to calm down too when we saw the full title of Chiara Camoni’s new exhibit, “Sisters. Moths and Flame Twisters. Lioness Bones, Snakes and Stones” in display at Pirelli HangarBicocca (until 21 July 2024), one of the most intriguing venues for contemporary art with amazingly curated permanent and temporary art collections, around half an hour from Duomo by metro (M5 Ponale).
We know, although we love the new TTPD set, taking this song off the track list for the European leg of the tour was a severe blow. However, do you know you can find dragons in Milano? Called “draghi verdi”, you can find 80 of them around the city: they are Milano’s free-flowing fountains providing drinking water for all! We hope you’ll make them your best friends in the hot July weather. Stay hydrated for the concert!
Located in the homonymous and delightful Brera District, Pinacoteca di Brera is the most visited art museum in Milano, rich in beauty and Renaissance and Romantic art masterpieces. Get inspired to sing Lover at the top of your lungs with a visit to The Kiss by Francesco Hayez.
The stadium is accessible by metro, either with the M5 Lilac Line San Siro Stadio stop, or with the M1 Red Line Lotto stop, which is just a 15-minute walk away. Smart tip: avoid the ticket queue, pay with a credit card directly at the metro turnstiles.
You can also arrive with bus 49 and get off at the Via Harar stop. Alternatively, take tram 16 from Piazza Fontana and get off at the Piazzale Axum terminus.
Once the concerts are over, the M5 Lilac Line Ippodromo and Segesta stops will be inaccessible. Instead, you can use the San Siro Stadio stop on the M5, or the Lotto stop on the M1, a 15-minute walk away.

While all you had to do was stay, we understand you might have a place in the world to get back to but, the question is: are we gonnagetyouback? In the meanwhile…
Taylor didn’t miss out on a romantic getaway to Lake Como just after the start of the European tour and neither should you. And if you are into auroras and sad prose, you might want to join one of the Poetry Way tours.
Alright, back to Reputation. Might this be the original betrayal of them all? Forgiveness was granted at that time and was the all point of it all, but we recon it’s a choice (like jet lag, as someone said). Definitely, a mama who had to listed to all that drama was involved —> next stop, Last Supper (but you have to book in advance to visit Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece).
